Harley-Davidson, in their sometimes perplexing reasoning, has changed the footpeg clevis on M8 Softails so that NONE of the Footpegs made for any other Harley-Davidsons will fit the M8 Softail. 

This means that, until now, the owner of an M8 Softail had to purchase M8 Softail Specific pegs.
